In our continuous efforts under the DEFEAT project's Work Package 3 (WP3), we have taken significant strides in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of sorting operations in construction demolition waste (CDW). With the power of computer vision, our team has successfully developed an advanced system capable of object detection within CDW. This technology aims to revolutionize the way we approach waste management in construction, contributing to more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Dr. Demetris Nicolaides, the Project Coordinator of DEFEAT, delivered a comprehensive presentation titled "Advancements in Blast and Fire-resistant Composite Materials" at the College of Civil Engineering, Fuzhou University, on October 17, 2023. This session provided a detailed overview of recent breakthroughs in the realm of fire-resistant composite materials.
The DEFEAT Project (INTERGRATED/0918/0050) convened its General Assembly Meeting on the 21st of June 2023, adopting a hybrid format.
The European Office of Cyprus (EOC) has recently published a document titled "Success Stories of European Office of Cyprus Members - Programming Period 2014-2020". This publication aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the involvement of EOC members in the programming period of 2014-2020, as well as provide insights into what can be anticipated during the 2021-2027 programming period. Furthermore, the publication seeks to showcase remarkable accomplishments of EOC members throughout the 2014-2020 programming period. It accomplishes this by highlighting projects in which EOC members participated, either as partners or coordinators. The objective is to emphasize the significant contributions and achievements of EOC members in these projects.
