On July 1st 2020 the DEFEAT Project was officially kicked off with the participation of all the partners.
The DEFEAT acronym arises from selected letters of the full project's title, which is "Development of an innovative insulation fire resistant façade from the Construction and Demolition Waste".
The project's mission is to develop an innovative insulation fire resistant façade made out from Construction and Demolition waste (CDW) through the development of innovative separation and transformation methods. The know–how of several stakeholders coming from different sectors of the academia (construction and IT sector), business, industry, public entities from Cyprus will be combined on the production of a highly innovative material with huge impact and footprint on the waste management and building industry.
During the kick-off meeting issues related to the commencement, management, finance and technicalities of the project were presented and discussed. The partners engaged in technical discussions and committed in the project tasks foreseen in the Grant Agreement.
